100001

Inspired by Dan's recent post about the number 40, I've decided to write my own post about the number 33.

When I hear about someone dying at 33, it stands out to me since it was the traditional age of Jesus at his death. Here are a few famous people who died at this age.

Bruce Lee, martial artist/actor
Chris Farley, comedian
John Belushi, actor
Alexander the Great, conqueror
Sirnivasa Ramanujan, mathematician
Eva Braun, Nazi girlfriend
Mama Cass, folk singer
Evita Peron, Argentinian First Lady
Richard II, King of England

Here's a few more XXXIII tidbits:

The raven produces 33 distinct sounds.
"Africanized killer bees" will not nest above the 33rd parallel.
The human body functions ideally sleeping 33.3% of each 24 day.
33 vertebrae in the spine (including coccyx). Through this pass 33 pairs of nerve groups.
In the field of "Biorhythmics," the "Intellectual Cycle" is 33 days long.
The lowest temperature at which water may remain in liquid form is 33 degrees F.
Baghdad, Iraq is at 33°33'N latitude.

I checked this post out even though it'd already been superseded by Phee's tipping points because of the binary number.

33 isn't a very exciting binary number, is it? I dunno, I like my binary numbers mixing up the 1s and 0s a little more ... but maybe that's just me.

In hexadecimal, 33 is 21. In octal, 41.
