Busking the day away

I've gotta reel myself in. My entries are getting too long and it's boring me.

In international news: North Korea's finally got nukes, and those darn Palestinians are at it again.

On the local front: Texas has begun a new ice age.

On this date:
1763 - France ceded Canada to England under the Treaty of Paris, which ended the French and Indian War.
1863 - The fire extinguisher was patented by Alanson Crane.
1942 - The first gold record was presented to Glenn Miller for 'Chattanooga Choo Choo'.

Useless fact: The housefly hums, middle octave, key of F.

Word of the day: busk /bŭsk/ intr.v.: To play music or perform entertainment in a public place, usually while soliciting money.
